Graham Wood

Staff Governor


Graham has been a history teacher for 17 years since obtaining his PGCE from Bristol University. He has worked in a range of LA and MAT schools in that time, mostly in Middle Leadership leading several Humanities Faculties. He has taught History, Politics, RE, Geography, Maths and Drama and has taught in range of schools from Outstanding to RI so have a range of experiences to draw on.

Graham has been an examiner for AQA, led CPD at whole school level and held MAT wide responsibilities in relation to his subject. All of this experience gives him a strong working knowledge in the ways that schools actually operate. Professionally he is interested in how schools assess and gives feedback, staff development and training as well as the ways schools use data.

Graham lives locally and his children attend a local school. He is a proud father and in his spare time enjoys reading, history, board games, real ale, and the outdoors. He recently earned his RYA Level 1 and is always on the lookout for his next hobby.
