Prendergast Vale School understands the importance of good communication in working together with families to ensure our students learn and grow best.
Staff members can be contact directly via email using format firstinitial.surname@prendergast-vale.com. We also welcome general enquiries to our school inbox, admin@prendergast-vale.com, or by phone at our main school reception (020 8297 3540) and encourage parents to use their secondary child's school planner to communicate with their tutors or, for primary students, to speak to staff members at the end of the school day.
Finally, Prendergast Vale uses a platform called ParentMail to send regular communications via text and email. Please download the app to ensure you recieve important information from us.

ParentMail
Communicating with our parent community is an important part of what we do. Good communication ensures you get the correct information about activities, events and school news.
Our school uses a platform called ParentMail for all school communication. Our aim is that all parents will sign up to ParentMail. Please see below for full information.

Information about Online Payments
We’re using +Pay on ParentMail – an online payment service which allows you to pay for school items on your smartphone, tablets or computer, or on the free parent App.
We will inform you about items you need to pay through ParentMail, and you will be able to pay electronically, with money transferred directly into the school bank account – it’s all very easy, safe and secure. ParentMail doesn’t store credit or debit card details and works in the same way as other large retailers who accept online payments.

If you have an Android or Apple smartphone, we would highly recommend you download the free ParentMail App so that you can make easy, online payments on the go. To do this, simply search for “ParentMail” in your App store.

Parent Association - Friends of Prendergast Vale (FoPV)
The Friends of Prendergast Vale (or FoPV for short) is the School's Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) which gives an opportunity for parents and carers to meet with senior school staff to ask questions and give feedback and to raise money to enhance student life.
As a parent or carer with a child at Prendergast Vale, you are automatically a member.
We hold our meetings at the school once a term at 6.30pm. Do come along! Please check the school calendar to see when our next meeting is.
Being a member of the Friends group is a great way of taking part in school life and meeting other parents. We run stalls at school events, including the Christmas Fair and the Summer Festival of Creativity, and we always need volunteers. So far, we have raised funds to donate leaving presents to all Year 6 children, help the Year 11s celebrate the end of their time at Vale, donate books to the school Library and paint the wall at the school's exit.
